- Stir to combine and let them marinate in the fridge for at least 1 hour before airfrying them in the air fryer.
- Coat them with some cornstarch and spray with some cooking oil of your choice.
- Place the wings on the air fryer plate, basket, or tray. We lined them with foil, but it is completely up to you how you want to do it with your own favorite methods.

- Flip the wings and air fry for another 2-3 minutes at 160 degrees C.

Tips & Notes:
- Double up the ingredients for a big batch.
- Air fry them in batches if you have to for big servings.
- You can use the flat or the joint part of the wings.
- The temperature setting and timing above are based on our air fryer model. All air fryers work differently. Please adjust the temperature and time accordingly until the wings are cooked through.
- If kaffir lime powder is not available to you, you can substitute it with finely chopped 6–8 fresh kaffir lime leaves.
- You can purchase kaffir lime leaves powder online or at your local Asian grocery store. The link to the kaffir lime leave powder is provided under ingredients in bold letters on our website as well as under the description box below on our Youtube video for this recipe. We purchased the kaffir lime leaves powder online.
- You can use fresh garlic purée if you prefer fresh garlic vs garlic powder. When it comes to air-fried chicken, we prefer to use garlic powder most of the time.
- We used grapeseed oil spray, but you can use your choice of cooking oil.
- This recipe uses fish sauce, but if you dislike fish sauce, you can omit it (if you don’t mind, the taste may be slightly different from the original with fish sauce).
- Adjust salt according to your taste buds because fish sauce and light soy sauce contain salt. We only used a little bit, but if you prefer a little salty wings, just add more salt.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, you can deep fry them over the stove with enough cooking oil for deep frying.
- Of course, you can use this recipe with other parts of chicken other than wings. However, you may need to adjust or experiment with the temperature and time accordingly.
- You can prepare the wings ahead of time and air fry them the next day. Just store them in an airtight container in the fridge.
