MB's Favourite & Simple Coleslaw

This is our favorite quick & simple creamy coleslaw. Great as a side dish for your main course or even as a topping for hotdogs & hamburgers. For your next backyard BBQ party, don’t forget to give this a try!

Ingredients

  • 1 small bowl cabbage, shredded
  • 1 small bowl carrot, shredded
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise (+/- adjustable)
  • 1 tbsp ranch dressing
  • 1/8 -1/4 tsp vinegar
  • 1-2 tsp sugar
  • A pinch of salt( optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash & shred both cabbage and carrots.
  2. Combine shredded carrots & cabbage in a large bowl.
  3. Add in mayonnaise, ranch dressing, vinegar, sugar & salt into the shredded cabbage and carrots.
  4. Gently mix everything to combine and well coated with dressings.
  5. Wrap with cling wrap or transfer to a glass container and refrigerate for an hour or two before serving. Best served cold.

Tips & Notes

  1. Feel free to add more mayonnaise and ranch dressing if the coleslaw is too dry. I started with roughly 3-4 tablespoons for the above amount of serving. Of course if you have big serving, you need to add more mayonnaise and ranch dressing.
  2. We prefer less acidic kinds of coleslaw. So for vinegar, please adjust according to your taste.
  3. This coleslaw is great as a side dish for your main course like steak or chicken. They are delicious as a topping (our favourite)for hot dogs and hamburgers as well.
